Ans. Please note that unique product codes provided by BookMyBarcode.com are NOT registered with any barcode issuing authority/organization in India or abroad such as GS1/UCC. BookMyBarcode.com is also not authorized or registered by any barcode issuing organization (government or private) to resell barcodes or unique product numbers.
We do NOT provide barcode numbers starting with 890, as 890 is a GS1 India trademark.
Our barcodes are accepted at retail outlets where barcode scanning is used for billing and product data is stored locally in POS systems. However, they will NOT be accepted in stores that require GS1-registered barcodes or fetch product data from centralized databases like GS1.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm acceptance before purchase.

Q2. Why can't I just use any random 13-digit number as a barcode?

Ans. Just like every 16-digit number isn’t a valid credit card, every 13-digit number isn’t a valid EAN-13 barcode. These numbers follow a specific algorithm.
Using a random number may:
Fail validation
Cause listing issues on e-commerce platforms
Show incorrect or no product data
Most major platforms accept only valid EAN-13 codes.

Q3. Which Barcode Series Do You Provide?

Ans. We provide random unique barcode series.

We do NOT provide 890 series barcodes (reserved by GS1 India).

Important: You do NOT need 890 series to sell products in India or globally.

If required, you can purchase GS1 barcodes separately at higher cost with annual renewal fees.
